Hosepipe bans have been announced by Yorkshire Water, South East Water (for its customers in Kent and Sussex), Southern Water and Thames Water.
All allow ponds that contain fish to be topped up to ensure the welfare of the fish is not compromised. However, please be water wise and use only what is necessary to safeguard your fish.
These temporary bans are aimed at domestic users so commercial businesses that require water for their business, such as aquatic shops, are not affected. But all businesses should be using water carefully.
