A new plastic packaging tax came into force in April 2022 which means if you manufacture or import 10 or more tonnes of plastic packaging within a 12 month period, you may need to register for the tax. Find out all you need to know about the new tax and if it applies to you.
We’ve also had some queries about what plastic packaging is within the scope of this new tax and HMRC has confirmed to us that Styrofoam type boxes and plastic bags will fall within it.
