Six directors were welcomed back to the OATA Board at the trade association’s Annual General Meeting.
Each year six directors stand down from the Board and this year an additional four people – Barry Allday from The Goldfish Bowl, Lester Bunce from Mars Fishcare, Matthew Stevenson from Seneye and Simon Strode from Tetra – put themselves forward for a place on the board, sparking an election.
“It’s really good to see people putting themselves forward for the board and we always welcome nominations because we are very keen for businesses to become more involved in what we do,” said OATA Chief Executive Keith Davenport.
Ballot papers were sent to all OATA members and the final count was taken at the AGM on Wednesday November 11, which led to six people being voted back onto the board. These were Pete Carey from Pets at Home, Ruth Low from Gordon Low Products, Paul West from TMC, Peter Wheeler from Aquajardin, Ben Windeatt from Pets Choice and Mark Winter from Aqua Pacific UK Ltd.
