We want to remind the industry that the only crayfish allowed to be sold in England and Wales is redclaw (Cherax quadricarinatus). This is the ONLY permitted species in England and Wales and no live ornamental crayfish/lobsters can be sold or kept in Scotland.

We are seeing reports of other crayfish for sale, which should be reported.

The import of any other non-native crayfish other than the redclaw (Cherax quadricarinatus) is prohibited in England and Wales. If you see sales of other types of crayfish you can use the reporting form below.
